Ah, the allure of spring… isn’t this the perfect time to get all the dust out of the nooks and crannies of your house? Springtime is also the perfect time to take a long look at your personal and professional life so as to fine-tune your mind, body and spirit! In order to de-clutter your house, you have to start from the ground up and work your way out the front door.
change is good
We have all heard those words before –“Life is a journey not a destination” but as I heard someone speak them again today, I realized that they finally sunk into the recesses of my mind and I found myself saying: “Yes—that is true!”.
Sometimes it is difficult to open your mind and take a look at different ideas or opinions other than your own. I have found, however, that when I open my mind, I realize a great deal of rewarding benefits.
We are supposed to get up in the morning and appreciate the light of a new day. We never know what is going to happen from one day to the next; however, it is up to us to take advantage of the beauty that is all around us.
For all practical purposes, this year is over but that does not mean that you are off the hook! Quite the contrary! If you want something you've never had, you have got to do something that you have never done before. You can not change your life if you don't change and your life will not sparkle and shine if you do not polish and buff up your positive thoughts, your creative ideas and your imagination so that you can shine brightly and with pizzazz.
Are you feeling as though all the doors and all the opportunities that you are seeking are being closed to you? I can empathize with you because I have had the same feelings in my life. I can say that during those times, I, too, was disappointed, I prayed for God's help and support but during those times I discovered that I was forced to stretch, moved out of my comfort zone and challenged to turn my life around so that I could reach the destiny that I was supposed to live. My new purpose and reason for living was being pulled out of me.
Everyday I speak to people who live in guilt, fear and doubt. They doubt their capabilities.
"If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading." Lao Tzu
A powerful statement and one that we need to say often if we seek inner peace and contentment for ourselves. The power to change our lives lies within each one of us not in the outside world and it comes from our own actions.
