Creating Peace

Be your own hero

Have you ever read one of the Disney fairy tales where the mean witch locks away the beautiful princess and a handsome young prince comes along on his magnificent white steed, magically rescues her and then they live happily ever after?

What could have been

With the holidays right around the corner, many of you will become more nostalgic. You will start reflecting on your younger days, your childhood memories and about the people whom you have loved and have lost. It is also a time when you may begin wondering about the road that still lies ahead of you.

Finding Happiness Again

Are you in a slump? Sometimes life gets overwhelming and no matter what you do, you just can't seem to find your happiness. It is my firm belief that you never truly "lose" your happiness. I believe that you may be focusing your thoughts entirely too much on things that do not serve your purposes. Canadian Author, L.M. Montgomery once said, "It's been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will." I agree with Ms. Montgomery.

Pray when in doubt

Are you at a place in your life where you are doubting yourself and your abilities tobe happy and successful? It is perfectly human to have some self-doubts in life. We are all guilty of lack of self-confidence at one time or another. Maybe you are trying to get a new job, maybe you want your business idea tobe successful, or maybe you just want your relationship with your significant other tobe more harmonious.

Is your life on repeat?

Do you ever get the sneaky feeling that no matter what you seem to do, you keep winding up in the same place, with the same people, in the same situations? Maybe you have even experienced the same dreaded outcomes and emotions that come with those experiences.

Do you count your blessings?

Could you ever begin to imagine a life where you could not hear things, could not see things and could not communicate? How very blessed you are to be in the place you are at this moment in time. Here you are seeing the text spill out across your screen, reading and understanding each and every word. Since you are able to see and read this piece, you are more fortunate than nearly seven million Americans, who are unable to do so.
